Built this crazy awesome hackintosh, totally forgot about the “get it on the Internet” problem. I’m not a huge fan of running Ethernet cables across the floor, so WiFi is really the only option.
steve smith let me borrow one of his old 802.11n PCI Express cards. It worked, but really the best bet is to get one of these hacky MacBook Pro cards from China. Basically they take a Broadcom card from a junked MacBook and slap it on a PCI Express card.
I think I’ll stick with 802.11ac. 802.11n was only getting me about 60Mbps.
