Playing around with Microsoft’s Hyperlapse technology. It’s sped up video, but they don’t just select every Nth frame. They also are trying to smooth and stabilize things. This creates some interesting interactions which you can see in this video, where the traffic appears to move faster at the beginning and end of the clip. A neat effect, but not one I was expecting.
